In Loving Memory of Hser Ner Moo

Today brings back some sad memories. It was a day of late night searching and the next day of all day searching for our friend Hser Ner Moo. She disappeared in the afternoon of March 31, 2008. Family and friends were looking for her well into the night. She wasn't to be found that evening. It was on April 1st, 2008...not a day of pranks, but a day of a big community of so so many people coming together to find her. It was an incredible search effort. The local church was packed full of volunteers looking for her. It was a scene of distress...but is was also a scene of love between strangers and friends to come together to search for "their little girl." It was incredible to see all the people, donated food, and law enforcement all in the cause to find her.

It was an unfortunate ending that evening of the 1st. However, it was an incredible effort of Christ like love amongst so many. We will miss her so much. Her smile and sweetness will never be forgotten.

Hser Ner Moo...I really got to feel your sweet spirit the most when I was gathering pictures of you and taking pictures of the memorial and your funeral. I felt your presence so much. Especially, at your graveside service when I felt your spirit tell me to give a hug to the man's mother who took your life. You gave me hope and a sure testimony that the Plan of Salvation is REAL. I know you continue to be with your mom and dad and brothers in spirit. Your entire family has brought so much love to our community. I love you and miss you! Until we meet again.

I'm Bored...yet I have a checklist of so many things!

I have tons to do, but I don't want to do any of it. So instead I am blogging it. This sounds ridiculous. I could be vacuuming upstairs, cleaning the bed linens, scrapbook (you know how easy that is to dive into...not), finish Eclipse, sort my desk, pay some bills, get my lesson plan put together for preschool next week, read this week's R.S. lesson (just in case the teacher comes unprepared, I need to study it well in case I have to teach it. It comes with the calling :) I could be loading the dishwasher, finish putting the laundry away, there is always DUSTING, cleaning old files off my computer, updating my pictures onto dvd's in case my computer crashes, oh and baking some cakes (I need to have 3 made for Tues.), rotating clothes in my kids' rooms, clean the bathrooms, EXERCISE (something I have been putting off ever since I have been getting nausous)....Ok, enough with the long list. I need to start checking these items off. Oh forget it, not tonight....I have one hour to get ready to go to Salt Lake to see my sweet sister-in-law at her drill team performance and to take the kids out to dinner prior to it. We deserve the night out.....we're dying not having dad home. It's nice to have a night out of not cooking, especially since dad has been out to eat all week in Washington, D.C.

Speaking of this! The coolest thing! Jason is having dinner with his brother tonight. It's Jason's brother, Brandon's, mission hump day. Uncle Brandon has been serving his mission in D.C. a whole year today. They get to see each other tonight for dinner and then Jason is going out to teach with him. It's so cool. We miss you Brandon....and are so proud of you!

Come on Spring!

Today was an uplifting day to go outside with my preschool class and do things that start with the letter "S"....in the Sunshine. I know it may be snowing again soon, but I welcome the sun and warmth gladly. We skipped, walked slowly like snails and sloths, and pretended to be a long snake. As well as we played on the swings, slide, and seesaw. It was a great day to get out and play. I love teaching preschool. I feel very blessed to have so many great students and a super mother to share her teaching supplies with me.

Also, Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!!! (yesterday)
