Well, the dungeon is looking better all the time. Ever since we have moved in we have noticed a musty smell every time it rains and the furnace kicks on. It never concerned us to much until my birthday a few months ago. When we were cleaning up we discovered about thirty square feet of wet carpet behind the couch. It has taken a few months and a lot of melting snow to actually pinpoint the source but we're almost there.
As much as I didn't want to tear down the entire wall this Friday I decided it had to be done.
HERE'S THE FUN PART. When I brought Kai home from the bus I asked him if he heard about the earthquake. He had and I said, "Wait till you see what it did to our apartment." He couldn't believe his eyes. His reaction was, "WWWHHHAAAATTTT the Heck!" (Picked that up from his dad.)
When Kezia came out and noticed the wall she asked me, "Dad, are getting the rats out of the wall?"
Playing along I said, "Yes."
"Where'd they go? Did you throw them away?"
Chuckling, I responded, "No, I just let them go find another wall."
"Oh!"
It can be a lot of fun when kids aren't taken too seriously. She is such a cutie.
I sort of like the "New York Overpriced Penthouse" look. Since there will be messy sheetrocking to be done, we are also adding in little closet. It will help with the clutter.

Eli's First Birthday
Well that year went a little too quickly. Eli had an excellent party due to the wonderful family that we have. Many cute outfits and some fun, mostly educational toys. His mother went to town on the cakes (thanks Eve for all your help) all while sufferings symptoms of some flu-like bug. Check out the pics.
Look at that, I have more to say after the pics. I wanted to mention my feelings on the passing of Pres. Hinckley. It's amazing how we only fully realize what we have when we lose it. As has been said many he left a legacy of Temples, Communication, Indiscriminate Love and many other things.
My testimony has most been strengthened by his legacy of love. When I went to say my goodbye's to him I was overwhelmed by the feeling of his love towards me. His responsibilities covered millions, even the billions of people on Earth and for some reason I could feel that he loved me personally. It was humbling. It helped me better understand how much the Savior loves me personally.
Finally, as I contemplated the new presidency of the church I found myself feeling very confident with the selection that was made and I look forward to the exciting progression they will bring to the church and world. I know Pres. Monson is the prophet of God and as Pres. Hinckley led the church in inspired ways, so will he.

Anybody that knows Kai, knows he loves Monster Trucks. We found this fun video on Youtube and thought we would share it with all. Take care.

Ginger and Mom on the News
It's only for a second but about midway through this segment on President Hinckley's viewing you can see Ginger and her mom as they are viewing the President.
Fox 13 Broadcast (Click on me)
If only the Spirit of the moment could be felt through the TV (computer monitor). Actually, Ginger's posting below does a very good job of bringing that Spirit. It looks long but it's a quick read. Take a minute...you won't regret it.
